Brent Charles Harrewyn

Canadian-born photographer and mixed media artist. I grew up in the Green Mountains of Vermont, but the winds of time have blown full circle—I've returned to my homeland and now reside in Pemberton, British Columbia with my family.

My journey with photography began early, learning on my father's vintage Nikon. I was soon trained in the darkroom, developing and experimenting with black-and-white film before moving on to color slides. In 2003, upon graduating college I was gifted my first DSLR and it was then that I entered the digital realm. However, the essence of my craft remains rooted in the tangible magic of analog photography.

Creativity has been a constant thread in my life, with the camera as a faithful companion. I find that tapping into our creativity rekindles the boundless curiosity and joy of childhood—where the world felt infinite, and wonder was everywhere. Now, as a father to two incredible young humans, I find endless inspiration in their perspective.

The artist’s path is ever-evolving, and I’m deeply grateful that you're a part of this journey.
